On the streets
A walk around Blackfriars, London EC4, May 2025
A street walk around the historic lanes of Blackfriars, the area between Ludgate Hill ahd the River. This area is named after the Dominican friars who had their friary bordering the Fleet River. Later an Elizabethan theatre was located there in Playhouse Yard. King Henry VIII's Bridewell Palace was on the River Thames across the Fleet River and the Great Wardrobe (the royal wardrobe) was located in Wardrobe Court, off Carter Lane.
Thorsten Overgaard Masterclass - London May 2025
In May I fulfilled my ambition to attend a street photography masterclass run by Danish photographer Thorsten Overgaard in London. My most successful photos were of the participants, which kind of proves that street photography should be about people. Thorsten in the hat.

Early morning in George Street, Old Town, Hastings.

Motorcyclist, May Day meet, Hastings.
Every year hundreds of motorcyclists arrive on the town's seafront on May Day.

Bottle Alley, St Leonards-on-sea, deserted during the 2021 lockdown. The name comes from the millions of fragments of glass embedded in the concrete wall panels.
